Fondly called Die Grün-Weiße by its fans, SK Rapid Wien has a gargantuan history in European football. Formed in 1899, the club has achieved overwhelming success and currently holds a record of 32 Austrian National Championships. The club has also won 14 Austrian Cups, three Austrian Supercups and can claim to be the only Austrian Club to win a German Football Championship. The club plays its home games at the Allianz Stadion which was built to replace the historic Gerhard Hanappi Stadium. As one of the most successful clubs in Europe, the club boasts notable alumni like Gerhard Hanappi, Ernst Happel and Antonín Panenka who is also the innovator of the Panenka style of penalty.
