Protomartyr is a post punk band that emerged out of Detroit in 2008. As Greg Ahee and Alex Leonard, together known as Butt Babies, were joined by Joe Casey and Scott Davidsond, Protomartyr was born. Solidifying a distinctive sound with post punk baritone vocals and the velocity of punk rock, the group dropped its debut album,No Passion All Technique, in 2012. The record earned the attention of Hardly Art, who signed Protomartyr and released the group's sophomore album, Under Color of Official Right, in 2014.
