Bjarke Bendtsen, who helms the one man musical endeavor The Migrant, is a Danish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who left all his possessions in 2008 and dedicated himself to a nomadic lifestyle that revolved around traveling, meeting people and harvesting musical inspiration. After molding a semblance of coherency to his musical offspring, Bendtsen dubbed his folk-inspired pop project The Migrant and released his first collection of songs, Travels in Lowland, in 2010.
