Based in Portland, Modern Kin is an electronic indie rock band that was initially formed in 2007 as Drew Grow & the Pastors' Wives. After slimming down to a trio an adopting its chosen name in 2012, the band entered the studio and emerged in 2013 with its eponymous debut album, which was released on Amigo/Amiga Recordings.
