Emily King is a soul and jazz singer/songwriter who launched her career in 2007, when she released her debut album, East Side Story. Born to a couple who were a fairly well known singing duo, King was brought up traveling regularly with her family, immersed in a music filled childhood. Developing a strong affinity towards music, King left high school at the age of 16 to pursue her music career full time. After landing a contract, King recorded East Side Story, which would ultimately go on to land a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
