The Subdudes

The Subdudes is a roots rock band from New Orleans that was founded in 1987. Gigging around its hometown during its formative years, the group was able to polish its sound and cohesively blend a number of varied styles including zydeco, Southern rock and country into a distinctive sonic amalgam. Releasing its self-titled debut album in 1989, the group went on to release various LPs before breaking up in 1996. However the group reformed in 2002, released its comeback album, Miracle Mule, in 2004 and has since maintained a fairly busy touring schedule.
