Deep Cotton is an Atlanta, Georgia-based funk duo comprised of Chuck Lightning and Nate "Rocket" Wonder.  The two musicians met in 2002, while studying at Morehouse College in Atlanta and would go on to produce a number of artists, including Grammy nominated singer Janelle Monae. Though starting off as a production duo, Deep Cotton started to gain notoriety in 2012 after its single, "We're Far Enough from Heaven Now We Can Freak Out," became a regional success, which ultimately led the group to record its debut EP, Runaway Radio, which was released in 2013.
