The only non-Australian outfit in the National Rugby League (NRL), when New Zealand Warriors steps on to the pitch, it represents the whole nation. Founded in 1995 as Auckland Warriors, the team initially participated in the Australian Rugby League, but re-branded and moved to the NRL after the league was dissolved. While the Warriors are yet to lay its hands on the Premiership, it remains one of the league's most formidable teams.
