Slowdive

Slowdive is a band from Reading, England that achieved noted popularity in the mid 1990s for its forward thinking dream pop-meets-shoegaze sound. Formed in 1989, the group released its debut album, Just for a Day, in 1991, but didn't truly find its sonic footing until it released its sophomore effort, Souvlaki, in 1993. Though Slowdive disbanded in 1995, after nearly a decade apart, the group reformed in 2014 to play a number of reunion shows.
