Peter Matthew Bauer is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is best-known as the bassist and organist of the prolific post-punk outfit The Walkmen. When his long-time band entered an indefinite hiatus in 2014, he debuted his own heartland rock style with the single "Latin American Ficciones." The record set the straightforward, down-home rock and roll style of his first solo LP, Liberation!, which was released in 2014.
