Of all the Velvet Underground cover bands that have sprung up since the group's experimental music emerged from obscurity, The Pizza Underground is perhaps the most distinctive. Led by former actor and child-star Macaulay Culkin, the band injects VU material with pizza-themed aesthetics, reworking familiar track into songs like "I'm Waiting for the Delivery Man," and "All Tomorrow's Pizza Parties." After forming in 2013, The Pizza Underground quickly rose to recognition on a national tour that featured complimentary pizza if the band played for over half an hour.
