Beautiful Bodies is a Kansas City, Missouri-based alternative rock band comprised of Alicia Solombrino, Thomas Becker and Luis Arana. Initially formed while the band's members were residing in different countries--Becker, a civil rights lawyer, was living in Bolivia in the middle of suing the country's former president for killing protesters, while Solombrino and Arana were in the United States--sending demos, instrumental cuts and vocal passages to each other online. After the trio realized its promise, everyone met up in Kansas City and fleshed out a propulsive sound with an ardent propensity for intensity, which manifested itself on the group's 2012 debut EP, Battles.
