Dishwalla

Dishwalla is a post-grunge band that was formed in Santa Barbara, California in 1993. After cultivating a following around its local music scene, the band released its debut album Pet Friends, in 1995, and rose to recognition for the track "Counting Blue Cars." Featured in the 1995 cult classic Empire Records, the track was one of several by the band to be included on the soundtrack of a classic 1990s movie. While its notoriety has died down into the 2000s, Dishwalla continues to release new material, such as its 2005 eponymous LP, to appease its dedicated following.
