Los Angeles native Gavin Turek is an electropop artist who draws inspirations from indie rock and disco. With a soulful voice, she began crafting songs on her computer with no intention of releasing any material until her sister went ahead and posted her songs online. Turek soon captured the attention of LA-based producer and beatmaker TOKiMONSTA, whom she worked with to release her three-track offering, The Break-up Tape, in 2013, distributing her distinctively earnest and danceable songs for the first time.
