About
Gold Coast United Football Club, which is known as Gold Coast United, first started gaining popularity for its performances in the Brisbane league. The club was founded in 1966 and played its home games at the Nikiforides Family Park in Broadbeach until the team’s disbandment that followed after the 1979 season. The club made a come-back into the world of football in the 2009–10 season of the A-League and went on to become one of the top teams.
