The MAV Symphony Orchestra is a Hungarian symphony orchestra based out of Budapest that was founded in 1945. Conceived of by lead conductor Tibor Szoke, the orchestra has also played host to a number of well known classical music conductors like Luke Nicolas, Stephen Pecs and Mark Gorenstein. Though calling Budapest home, The MAV Symphony Orchestra has spent a good deal of time abroad, playing a diverse array of cities including Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.
