The Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra is a Budapest, Hungary-based chamber orchestra that pays homage to the revered Hungarian composer Franz Liszt. With its members having studied for years at the Franz Liszt Academy, the orchestra made its professional debut in 1963 and since then it has played a prominent role in the classical Hungarian music scene. Consisting of 17 string players, the ensemble oftentimes brings aboard additional instrumentalists to fill out various harpsichord and wind arrangements.
