Gripin

The Turkish rock band Gripin originally started out as a cover band, playing low profile shows at bars around Istanbul in the mid-1990s. As the group began to play more and more--refining its style and live approach--it started writing its own original songs. Arriving with a defined alternative rock sound with its 2004 debut LP, Hikayeler Anlatıldı, Gripin became a stalwart act of the modern Turkish music scene and has since managed to hold sway with continued album releases and a busy touring schedule.
