The Cairn String Quartet was formed in 2007 while busking on the streets of Glasgow, Scotland. Comprised of graduates of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the ensemble breathes life into modern pop and rock music with a classical touch. Having won the prestigious Scottish Institute for Enterprise New Ideas competition for entrepreneurial young Scots, The Cairn String Quartet has proven to be one of the UK's more noteworthy neoclassical outfits.
