Scar the Martyr is a heavy metal side project of Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, who introduced the band in 2013 with members of Nine Inch Nails, Trapping Young Lad and Darkest Hour. With alternative and groove metal elements, the band released its eponymous debut album within months of its inception in 2013 with Roadrunner Records.
