Ira Glass is an American radio personality who is widely-known as the host and producer of Public Radio International's This American Life. Born in Baltimore, Maryland he landed a gig as an intern for National Public Radio's headquarters in Washington, DC at the age of 19 and has since worked as a reporter and host on several NPR programs, like Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation. A mainstay at WBEZ Chicago Public Radio and the voice of This American Life, Glass has become a beloved personality, recognizable throughout the world for his story-telling prowess and his sharp, investigatory journalistic work.
