Kauf is a Los Angeles based group that blends electronic production sensibilities with defined balladeer characteristics to create a unique style of music that's well suited for today's multifaceted music scene. The band released its debut EP, As Much Again, in 2013 and the recording's rhythmically laden and oftentimes dark sonic meanderings have helped establish Kauf as a preeminent talent from Southern California. Though the group can sometimes fall into a deeply arpeggiated drone with gloppy modulation, it can quickly snap back with hopeful lyrical themes and bright instrumental flourishes.
