The Blank Tapes is a lo-fi/ garage pop project by California-based artist Matt Adams. Heavily influenced by 1960s rock and roll outfits such as the Beatles and the Kinks, he first started making and recording songs in his own bedroom, releasing dozens of tracks on tape in the early 2000s before creating The Blank Tapes in 2003. With the addition of vocalist and drummer Pearl Charles and bassist DA Humphrey, The Blank Tapes has released various records such as 2013's Vacation, and earned dedicated following with its consistent touring schedule.
