Fire! Orchestra is a jazz supergroup of sorts based out of Sweden that plays a number of varied styles including jazz, avant rock and experimental improv. At times hosting as many as 28 members, the collective has built a strong reputation for itself as a live band that creates a behemoth and oftentimes overbearing, cacophony of sound. With so many members, it might be difficult to imagine all the instrumentalists creating a fluid sonic tapestry that induces a state of lucidity, but somehow Fire! Orchestra is able to pull it off with stunning efficiency.
