The Melbourne, Australia-based group Dick Diver is a band that exists outside of a perceived scene or music community. Making music on its own accord, Dick Diver has managed to arrive at an original style that's indebted to late 1970s no wave and 1990s indie rock. Named after the main character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel Tender is the Night, Dick Diver released its debut EP, Arks Up, in 2009 and managed to capture attention from fans of alternative rock with experimental leanings.
