Chris McCarty is a singer/songwriter from Gainesville, Florida who owns a soul-infused brand of acoustic rock. As he focused on playing gigs throughout the 2000s, he slowly collected a following with his first few records, including 2006's The Next One and 2008's From Then Till Now. Along with his new group, Chris McCarty and the Underground Movement, he has taken his stripped back singer/songwriter template and channeled it through a full band to create a groove-powered brand of pop rock.
