About
Un mari à la porte (Husband at the Door) is an operetta by Jacques Offenbach, first performed in 1859. Its protagonist, an operetta composer named Florestan, hides from a bailiff in the bedroom of a girl named Suzanne. Unbeknownst to him, Suzanne has just gotten married to that same bailiff. Can the young man find a way out without his pursuer trapping him?
