"La Doña" was the affectionate nickname given to María Félix, one of Mexican cinema's most famous icons. This comedic play, written by Alfonso Rigel, pays homage to the epoch in which María and her husband, actor and singer Jorge Negrete, were the biggest stars. It focuses on the aptly named characters of María and Jorge, who are La Doña's enormous fans.
