Newell's Old Boys

Named after Argentine football pioneer Isaac Newell, Newell's Old Boys is a Rosario, Santa Fe-based club and regularly features in the Argentine Primera División. Estadio Marcelo Bielsa, the home stadium of this football club, is named after another club champion - Marcelo Bielsa, a former player and manager who led the team to domestic glory. Founded in 1903, the club has claimed the Primera División title on several occasions and has also been runners-up of the Copa Libertadores. It is also known for its exemplary academy, whose lengthy list of graduates include the likes of legends such as Gabriel Batistuta, Maxi Rodríguez and Lionel Messi.
