About
Rook and the Raven is an indie rock outfit that was founded in 2007, when brothers Joe and James Fray teamed up with bassist Dave Brodie and drummer John Major to capture an Americana-tinged rock and roll aesthetic. Based in Manchester, the group recruited keyboardist Tom Cartledge to fill out its soundscapes with more hooks and balance out the powerful force of its vocal harmonies. Rook and Raven released its debut effort, a four-song EP titled The Judge, in 2013.
