Cuban-born artist Juan Carlos Zaldívar is a filmmaker who has earned recognition in all fields of video production from sound editing to directing. After studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he later worked as a teacher, he immersed himself into his own projects and distinguished himself as an innovative director with each contribution. A respected name in the international film scene, he has shown his work and been recruited as a panelist for the world's most renowned festivals including the Sundance International Film Festival. Zaldivar continues to push the limitations of film with projects such as his on-going, trans-media story titled SHIFTING NATURE, and his first fictional feature film, Phoebe, a love story shot entirely underwater.
