Sylvain Cathala is a French jazz saxophonist and composer who first rose to fame in the early 2000s as leader of the jazz fusion band Print before striking out on his own and forming the Sylvain Cathala Trio. Forming the trio in 2005 with Sarah Murca on bass and Christophe Lavergne on drums, the group traveled around numerous jazz clubs around Europe for years before entering the studio to record it's 2013 debut album.
