The vibrant indie-pop group How Sad was founded in 2012 by the originated Canadian members Harris Nicholas, Philippe Evan and Nadim Camellia. Their energetic live performances and the sombre under tone in the lyrics makes for an explosive combination. After How Sad built an reputation for themselves in their home-district Montreal, Canada, the band set off to tour the United States and Canada in 2012. How Sad played many major festivals alongside acts like Twin Sister, Darwin Deez, Purity Ring and Rich Aucoin. In 2013 they stopped touring to record their first EP, which was released later the same year.
