Poni Hoax is an electronic rock band from Paris that was founded after four instrumentalists who all met at the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique met singer Nicolas Ker at a bar in 2001. Building a strong regional following for itself during its formative years, the band was exposed to a larger audience after its self-titled debut album was released in 2006 to lauded critical reception. Having since grown into a well-respected band with an international fan base, Poni Hoax has been praised for its ability to intertwine shimmering production quirks and glossy synth arrangements within the confined of a straightforward rock band sound.
