Despite the nationwide boom in baseball, inhabitants of Gyeongsang province had not had their home team until the establishment of NC Dinos in 2012. As NC Dinos started to compete in Korean Baseball League in 2013, baseball fans of the province could quench their eagerness to have own home team. In 2012, the team was sensational in Futures League which is a lower league, and elevated to the top league in 1 year after the establishment.
