Genre-bender Grandchildren is a six-piece collective out of Philadelphia, particularly out of Philadelphia's old Victorian house-turned venue Danger Danger, known for popularizing acts such as Times New Viking and Dan Deacon through its underground, and definitely illegal shows. Incorporating elements of electronica, folk-pop and African rhythms, Grandchildren fits in with the highly popular fusionist bands like Animal Collective and Yeasayer.
