Written and directed by Francois Girard, Zarkana is a Cirque du Soleil production that follows the story of a forlorn magician who, while mourning the loss of both his lover and his magic, finds himself in a surreal alternate world. Featuring the signature brand of death defying acts and extravagant set and costume designs for which the circus company is renowned, the show premiered at New York City's Radio City Music Hall in 2011 before finding a permanent home in Las Vegas a year later. Cirque du Soleil is a world renowned entertainment company based in Quebec that is famous for its spectacular blend of circus acrobatics and performance art. Since its founding in 1984, Cirque du Soleil has evolved to produce over 20 breathtaking shows, each with its own central theme and story line.
