Sascha Ring, who performs and releases music under his Apparat guise, is a German electronic musician who started out making dance-ready techno bangers in 1996. Since then, Ring has fallen in love with ambient music and has become "more interested in designing sounds than beats." However, his dabbles into avant-garde electronic composition hasn't inhibited his work flow and he continues to crank out material that's ornate and methodically produced.
