Children's band The Deedle Deedle Dees was formed by teacher and songwriter Lloyd Miller in 2003. The Brooklyn band specializes in pop-rock songs (occasionally switching to country or hip hop) about American history and the natural world, preferring to sing about "revolutionaries and unsung heroes." Regularly booked by elementary schools across New York state and every so often playing major venues at earlier kid-friendly hours, the four-piece has created a name for itself as a live act that will get kids learning, bouncing, jumping and all-around tiring them out, so parents can immediately put them to bed after the show.
