Ambient and hard rock are two styles of music that seem like they're polar opposites of each other. Somehow the Canadian band Snake Mountain is able to blend these two genres with ease and create a sound that is somehow both calming and evocative at the same time. Founded in 2006, Snake Mountain has pioneered its own original sound by refusing to conform to any sort of norm and with more time spent touring, the group's notoriety will undoubtedly continue to grow.
