Liberation Movement is a Santa Cruz, California-based collaborative music project that seeks to create a therapeutic communal ritual during its performances that elevate participants to new levels of consciousness. With a distinctively modern electronic production style that blends a number of world music instrumentals with various glitch and future bass sounds, Liberation Movement has managed to latch onto a unique sonic aesthetic. Though the group is primarily known for its engulfing live shows, it has also received attention for for its LP and EP releases, beginning with its forward thinking 2012 debut album.
