Helen Sjöholm is a Swedish singer and actress who began her career singing in choirs, soon transitioning into the pop music paradigm by joining the popular group Just For Fun. After leaving the band, Sjöholm released her debut solo album, Visor, in 2002 and the LP helped establish her as one of the more talented Swedish female vocalists of her generation. Blending classical Scandinavian folk elements into a modern pop sound, Sjöholm has managed to distinguish herself with a sound that takes inspiration equally from the past and present.
