This talented musician from Kashmir passed on his knowledge about this distinct instrument to his son, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. And since then Shivkumar Sharma has continued the musical legacy. Right from popularizing the instrument to changing the style and technique of playing it, and even introducing a remodeled Santoor - Shivkumar Sharma achieved this feat with his unassuming demeanor. A winner of countless musical accolades, the veteran musician has trained his son Rahul Sharma. The father and son duo can be seen performing occasionally.
