Transplants is a punk supergroup from San Diego comprised of musicians from the bands Rancid, The Slackers and Blink 182. Formed in 1999, the group released its self-titled debut album in 2002 and the LP helped establish the band as a outfit that had no qualms about interjecting elements of rap and hip-hop into an otherwise fairly straightforward punk sound. Though its members's schedules are fairly busy with their respective main bands, Transplants has nevertheless managed to record material and tour whenever it's allotted time.
