Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Jackson Scott is an indie pop singer songwriter whose mainstream influences lend his often strange, lo-fi instrumentation charming pop qualities. Soon after leaving his middle class Pittsburgh suburb to attend college in Asheville, he dropped out of school but stayed in the town that he describes as a paradise for creative types. Scott released his debut album, Melbourne, with Fat Possum records in 2013, finally capturing the full pitch-shifting qualities of his voice as well as his undeniable penchant for catchy melodies.
