Hellshovel is a Canadian dirt punk band that prides itself on its abrasively caustic sound. With distortion and fuzz effects at full strength, unrefined drumming and screeching vocals, Hellshovel manage to resemble a group of individuals who've taken to heart punk's DIY and "anyone can start a band" ethos. The group managed to turn heads with its 2012 LP, Hated by the Sun, which led to an opening slot with garage rock weirdos King Khan and the Shrines.
