The tenth collaboration between Tony Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg and the Manhattan Theatre Club, The Assembled Parties tells the story of the Bascovs, a wealthy Upper West Side Jewish family living in a Central Park West apartment. When the former movie star Julie Bascov and her sister-in-law Faye bring their families together for a typical holiday dinner in the year 1980, a guest joins in on the festivities and shakes the evening up by insinuating himself into the family drama. Skipping forward two decades later to 2001, the Bascovs' picturesque life may crumble as the family seeks stability in at the dawn of a new millennium.
