Johnathan Blake is a jazz drummer who has spent the majority of his career serving as an adept stickman for hire, willing to serve will nearly anyone who'll have him. While manning the drums with a never ending rotation of musicians has helped turn Blake into the man he is today, the trappings of forced participation have resulted in the drummer enlisting instrumentalists and forming his own jazz ensemble, the Eleventh Hour Band, where Blake is able to command the flow and pace of the music. The group released its first album, The Eleventh Hour, in 2012 and has been hitting the national jazz circuit, playing clubs and intimate venues to favorable critical reviews.
