Mrs. Skannotto is a band from Rochester, New York that's known for seamlessly fusing ska, rock and reggae into a cohesive whole. Founded in 1998, the group was greatly influenced by the third wave ska movement and, during its formative years, tried to model its sound after the genre's reggae-influenced rock sound. Though never really breaking out and becoming a nationally known act, Mrs. Skannotto has nevertheless maintained a fairly busy recording and touring schedule--helping it become a regional staple of the Upstate New York music scene.
