Hiatus Kaiyote is a four-piece outfit that emerged out of Melbourne, Australia, with a sound it describes as future soul. Since its formation in 2011, the band has captured a rich fusion of neo soul, hip-hop and nu funk that is only amplified during live shows, when the outfit is often joined by three additional backup vocalists. Led by vocalist and guitarist Nai Palm, Hiatus Kaiyote released its debut LP, Tawk Tomahawk, in 2012.
